Project Vision and Communication Aim:
To make the Colombo city a dog safe environment.

Communication Plan – Objectives.
To establish a sustainable communication campaign that will inform and motivate the target audience to get involved and change attitudes and behavior so that there is a measurable improvement in responsible dog ownership and reduction in dog bite and rabies incidence.

The communication campaign will run in Municipal schools and communities parallel to the mobile clinics operating in the Colombo city.

Communication Strategy
To develop a friendly and interactive campaign in order to generate empathy and motivate the target audience to action. An easily identifiable pneumonic, message and a logo that is unique to the project was developed to represent the three partners involved.
Various Target Audiences

•    School children (especially young primary age)
•    Citizens of Colombo Municipal area (especially low income members and dog owners)
•    Local authorities – health, garbage officials
•    Policy makers
•    Corporate sector – for sponsorship, dog managed zones and garbage involvement
•    Office workers and Sports/Golf clubs – for dog managed zones
•    Religious Institutions as appropriate
